Growing Grapes the Vermont Way
Introduced in May 2025, our vineyard reflects a commitment to resilience, care, and deep respect for the land. Vermont’s cool climate and rich soils shape every step of this journey—from selecting hardy grape varieties to managing a thoughtful growing cycle. With each vine, we’re learning, adapting, and cultivating something uniquely suited to the farm.
Our Vineyard in Progress
Rooted in tradition, guided by expertise, and growing with care.
Our vineyard is one of the newest additions to Sterling Hollow Farm—and one we’re especially excited about. Vermont’s unique climate and terrain create both challenges and opportunities for growing grapes, and we’re embracing both as we begin to cultivate the land. With a focus on sustainability and long-term success, our vineyard represents a slow and steady investment in the future of our farm.

What’s Growing
A mix of hardy varietals selected for flavor, resilience and region.
While our vineyard is still in its early stages, we’ve begun cultivating cold-hardy grape varieties well-suited to Vermont’s soil and climate. These resilient varietals lay the foundation for a vibrant and adaptable harvest. The vineyard’s direction will continue to evolve organically, and while the final product—whether wine, grape seed oil, or a balsamic reduction—is still being explored, we’re excited to share a glimpse of what’s beginning to take root.

Looking Ahead

A place to grow—not just grapes, but community and connection.
The vision for our vineyard includes much more than rows of vines. We’re laying the groundwork for something we hope will become a place for gathering, learning, and celebrating. As the vineyard matures, we’ll continue to share progress and stories from the field.
